AMVETS Post 101 is collecting new or used DVD's to be sent to our Troops overseas.  This is a continuous project that has been support by AMVETS for 4 years.  Please bring your DVD's the US Army Recruiting Station in the Oakland Shopping Center in Roanoke Rapids.

Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park’s newest attraction, the Fossil Dig, offers children the opportunity to discover what ocean life looked like fifteen million years ago.   The Park, home to the largest collection of captive waterfowl in the world, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
